Road Closed Hours Per Day

As 3WC has already reported, the traffic patterns will be different during the daytime hours but will not affect school bus travel.  Starting today, the N.C. Department of Transportation (DOT) a will close to traffic a section of the Clingman Road in Ronda from 8 am to 3 pm daily.  The DOT is to remove some debris that has collected against the base of the Clingman Road bridge over the Yadkin River in Ronda.  Due to recent heavy rain falls, the DOT reports that logs, limbs and other material has washed up against the base of the bridge. The DOT will need to use a crane to completely remove the debris from the bridge base.  Clingman Road will be closed near the north and south sides of the bridge.  Also, routes taken by school buses will NOT be affected as the buses arrive prior to 8am and leave after 3pm.  Again, the road at the bridge will only be closed from 8am to 3pm as of today and continuing through October 19.
