Thousands of Dollars in Property Stolen
Monday, October 15, 2012 at 9:53AM Over 12,000 dollars in property was stolen from a North Wilkesboro residence. The property owner called the Wilkes Sheriff’s Office concerning the theft. The victim had two Toro mowers; one had a 3 bag vacuum system parked near his house on Statesville Road. In the overnight hours, a thief or thieves came and stole both mowers. Again the stolen mowers are valued at 12,000 dollars. No suspects were listed with that theft. Then a Moravian Falls resident called the Sheriff’s Department when they found that their house had been entered by a thief. While the homeowner was away, someone entered the house by removing a air condition unit from a window. Once inside, the thief took a 9mm pistol, a Playstation III, 2 controllers, and some PSIII games. There is a suspect in this theft and charges are pending.
