5000 Dollars in Guns Stolen
Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 10:58AM One of the hot ticket items among thieves nationwide and in Wilkes is guns. In fact the Wilkes Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of 3 guns from one location. The guns were taken from a Millers Creek residence. The property owner was away from home at the time of the theft. They reportedly left the door to their house unlocked. When they returned home, they discovered the theft. A pump shotgun, a semi-automatic rifle, and semi-automatic handgun were all reported stolen. The stolen guns are valued at 5000 dollars. There is a suspect in this theft and charges are pending further investigation.
