Doors Were Locked But Building Was Entered....Twice
Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 11:00AM The lock wasn’t damaged, so it is believed they took the hinges off the door. A victim on the Oak Grove Church Road called Sheriff’s Deputies after a thief entered his outbuilding a second time. Lightning may not strike in the same place twice but a thief in Wilkes apparently did. The property owner told Deputies that his outbuilding was entered last month and a chainsaw was stolen. This week, the same outbuilding was entered a second time and several things were stolen including a weedeater, cordless drill set, air compressor, and pressure washer. The building was locked, but it is believed that the thief took the hinges off the door to get inside and steal the tools. No suspect was listed with the theft report, but the Wilkes Sheriff’s Department is continuing to investigate.
