Domestic Terror Suspect Arrested in Wilkes

A domestic terrorist was arrested without incident in Wilkes.  The Sheriff’s Office in Calhoun County, Alabama, had issued a terrorist threat warrant after a man had threatened to blow up their Sheriff’s Department building.  The fugitive warrant was issued, and Wilkes County Sheriff’s Officials found the suspect recently in Wilkes.  47-year-old Elza Albert Roberts was arrested along the Wilkes/ Alexander line on Hwy 16 South.  Roberts was served with the warrant and taken to the Wilkes County Jail where he will stay until Deputies with the Calhoun Sheriff’s Department come to get him.
