While the Homeowner Was Away....

When the homeowner was away, the thief came to play…or at least to steal.  A friend of the homeowner on Valley View Drive called Wilkesboro Police this week.  The friend had checked on the house and found a screen off the bathroom window.  Police arrived and determined that the house had been entered at the window.  There were footprints and discarded cigarettes in the mulch under the open window.  The victim returned home to do an inventory of the house and make a list of stolen items.  The thief took over 4300 dollars in property including a Duster Scooter, Sony TV, Acer Computer, air compressor, shoebox of coins, 2 Zippo lighters, and 2 helmets.  There is a suspect in this theft and charges are pending further investigation.
