Pills and Other Items Sent to SBI Lab

Several pills, a needle that field tested positive for meth, and an unknown substance have been sent to the SBI Lab for analysis following a call to the police initially regarding trespassers.  Walmart Loss Prevention saw a woman in the store that had been banned from being on the property due to earlier charges of shoplifting.  She had come to the store with a man that was also banned from the property.  The woman, Casey Settle, was arrested in the store.  The man, Kevin Dancy, was found asleep in a car in the parking lot.  Police searched Dancy and the car and found drug paraphernalia including straws, a spoon, rubbing alcohol, cigarette filters, and 15 needles.  They also found several baggies, pill containers, and a needle filled with a liquid substance.  Some of the pills were identified as narcotics and some other things tested positive for meth.  Again, the drug evidence was sent to the SBI Lab for testing.  Ms. Settle was charged with second degree trespassing and taken to jail with a 500 dollar bond.  Mr. Dancy was charged with trespassing and 4 counts of drug possession.  He was taken to jail with a 5500 dollar bond.
