Jimmied Door to Get Drugs

Wilkesboro Police are investigating a theft of prescription pain medicine from a resident at Rose Glenn Village.  The victim reported that they had been away from their room for a few hours on Friday.  When they returned home, they noticed several pills missing from their prescription bottle.  Initial examination of the door to the victim’s room showed no signs of forced entry, so those with keys to the room were questioned.  Later examination of the door showed small holes around the door lock leading investigators to believe that the locked might have been jimmied open.  Some evidence was gathered at the scene.  There are no definite suspects at this time but the investigation is continuing.
