Traffic Stop and Drug Charges

Multiple drug charges were filed against a man after a traffic stop for an expired tag.  A Wilkes Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a vehicle on Oakwoods Road for having a tag that expired back in August.  The driver of the vehicle, Jesse Daniel Anderson of Wilkesboro, did not have a driver’s license but did have an warrant for possession of meth.  While searching Anderson, the Deputy also found some pre-packaged meth and pills in his possession.  The Deputy also obtained permission to search the car and found more drugs and drug paraphernalia.  Anderson was arrested and charged with 2 counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver; 2 counts of possession, no driver’s license, and registration violation.  He was taken to the Wilkes County Jail.  Some of the drugs found in the car was sent to the SBI Lab for identification; additional charges could be pending.
