Damaged and Stolen Cars

Wilkes Sheriff’s Deputies are looking for a stolen car and looking for who damaged another car.  This week a Wilkes resident reported the theft of his car.  The car owner parked his Ford Mustang at the Run In on Statesville Road in Wilkesboro.  He did lock the car doors.  He then was picked up by a co-worker and returned later to find that his car was gone.  The stolen car is described as a white Mustang GT with gray ground effects and a black stripe on the hood.  There are no suspects at this time.  A BOLO was issued with local law enforcement, and the car was entered in NCIC, the National Crime Information Center.  Then an employee of West Wilkes Middle School called regarding damages to and a theft from their vehicle.  Their car was parked at West Wilkes Middle.  Sometime during the day, someone broke out the back driver’s side window.  A black Mary Kay bag and makeup were stolen and a Pizza Hut uniform was also taken.  Surveillance video was viewed but did not show anything on the side of the building where the victim’s vehicle was parked.  Again, there are no suspects.
