Apple Festival Is Tomorrow
Friday, October 5, 2012 at 9:39AM It’s apple time tomorrow in Wilkes. The Annual Brushy Mountain Apple Festival is one of the largest one-day arts and crafts festivals in the Southeast. The Brushy Mountain Ruritan Club owns, operates, and organizes the event each year which has become one of Wilkes County's biggest fundraisers. Over 100 civic, church and other non-profit organizations participate in the apple festival and over 160,000 attend. There will be 425 arts and crafts, 100 food concessions, 4 music stages, and of course, apples all lining the streets of downtown North Wilkesboro this Saturday from 8am to 5pm. Pre-festival activities begin with live entertainment during Apple Jam at 6pm on Friday night at the Brushy Mountain Ruritan Club’s Brushy Mtn Apple Festival Park at the corner of 10th and Main streets in North Wilkesboro.
