Lying to Deputies Can Get You Arrested

Two have been arrested and one is too be charged.  Wilkes Sheriff’s Deputies went to a Cane Mill Road residence this week.  Deputies were following up on a lead in reference to a breaking and entering investigation.  They were looking for two men believed to be involved with the vending machine break-ins at the Little Market Basket, with some stolen catalytic converters, and two vehicle break-ins.  At the Cane Mill Road residence, Deputies spoke with a woman who gave them information on the suspects that turned out to be false and misleading.  In spite of the false information, Deputies did find and arrest the two suspects:  William Bounds and Judd Deskins.  They received multiple charges and were taken to the Wilkes County Jail.  Deputies returned to arrested the woman who had given them the phony information, but they were told that she wasn’t at home.  A warrant for Obstruction and Delay are expected to be issued and charges are pending.
