Wilkesboro Police have made a number of arrests this week that started out with shoplifting and ended with drug possession charges. Wednesday, Police were called to Walmart regarding a shoplifter who had taken 45 dollars worth of stationary items and placed them in her 3-year-old son’s backpack. The woman, Misty Minton, had also been banned from Walmart due to previous shoplifting offenses. Police searched Minton and found pills for which she did not have a prescription.
