Register to Vote by Friday

In order to vote in the upcoming General Election in November, you need to register by October 12.  Voter registration forms are available at public service agencies, the Wilkes Public Library, or the Driver’s License Office.  You may also go by the Board of Elections between 8:30 and 5 weekdays at the Wilkes County Office Building, 110 North Street, Wilkesboro.  To register, you must be a US citizen, be 18 years old by November 6, a resident of Wilkes for at least 30 days by Election Day, and not be a convicted felon.  For voter registration questions, call 651-7339.  Early One Stop Voting in Wilkes will be October 18 through November 3.
