Wilkes Drug Bust to Start the Month

Undercover officers in Wilkes started off this second month of the year with a drug bust.  According to the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Department, a Yadkin County man and woman were arrested following a 3 month undercover drug investigation.  Travis Landon Turner of Yadkinville sold a total of 23 grams of cocaine to undercover officers in three different buys since November 30th.  Following his latest cocaine sell Wednesday, Sheriff’s Deputies stopped him in the parking lot of the Clingman Subway.  Turner tried to flee the scene and damaged a patrol car.  Turner was taken into custody and charged with 6 counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver.  An female companion in the car with Turner, Latisha Mae Fink of Yadkinville, was arrested and charged with intent to sell and deliver and conspiracy to sell cocaine.  Deputies found additional cocaine in the car at the time of the arrests.  Trooper Anderson of the Hwy Patrol also charged Turner in the wreck with the patrol car.  Turner is in the Wilkes Jail under a 50,000 dollar bond, and Fink is imprisoned with a 10,000 bond.
