Collapsed and Arrested

This week, someone noticed a white female collapsed on the side of South Curtis Bridge Road and called 911.  Wilkesboro Police were dispatched to the scene.  As soon as they arrived, the woman jumped up and stated that she was fine.  She said she was on her way back to Lowes Motel, and it was a long walk.  The woman was sweating and shaking, police asked if she needed medical attention, and she declined.  When Police asked for her name and ID, she said she had no identification and gave the Officers a fake name.  Officers asked if she had anything illegal.  She answered no and consented to a search.  At that time, Officers found no illegal substances, but they did find her ID.  With her real name, Police determined the woman, Jennifer Proffitt had open warrants for her arrest.  After she was arrested, Proffitt asked for EMS to be called.  She did not have to be taken to the hospital but was taken to jail.  Proffitt was served with warrants for shoplifting, driving with license revoked and other charges.  Her bond was set at 3500 dollars.
