Arrested In Court

This next story begs to ask the question:  Why or What were they thinking?  At least two different people who had open warrants for various crimes were arrested this week after they were seen just sitting in a courtroom at the Wilkes Courthouse.  In the first report, a Wilkesboro Police Officer saw a women in Courtroom 4.  The Officer knew the woman had open warrants for her arrest, so he took her into custody while she was at the Courthouse.  The woman, Brittany Williams of Wilkesboro, was arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Trespassing and Failure to Return Rental Property.  Her bond was set at 1000 dollars.  Then just minutes later, Police received information that a man with 3 open warrants for his arrest was also sitting in Courtroom 4.  Police arrested Shawn Aaron of Pennsylvania on two counts of assault on a female and one charge of vandalism.  Aaron was given a bond due to the domestic assault charges.  He was taken to the Wilkes County Jail.
