Drugs Found During Traffic Stop

At least 3 different kinds of pills, rolling papers, needles, spoons, razor blades, and other items were found during a traffic stop in Moravian Falls.  Wilkesboro Police received a tip of a possible intoxicated person on Westwood Lane.  Police came to the scene and observed the suspicious vehicle and initiated a traffic stop.  The driver, Parker Martin of Moravian Falls, acted really nervous.  Police determined Martin was driving with a revoked license and asked if he had anything illegal in the truck.  At first he said he didn’t think so, but later admitted to having some needles in his pickup.  Police asked for and received a consent to search the vehicle.  A total of 15 ½ pills along with several drug paraphernalia items were found on the truck and on Martin.  He was arrested and charged with 3 counts of possession and one count of driving with license revoked.  Martin was taken to the Wilkes County Jail with a 1500 dollar bond.  His court date is August 22.
