In Possession

The Wilkes County Sheriff’s Department continues to make arrests related to drugs and drug possession.  Recently,  Deputies were called to assist Park Rangers at W Kerr Scott with a couple of suspicious people.  The man and woman were acting suspiciously while at the picnic area at The Lake.  The two admitted to smoking meth and drug paraphernalia was found on them.  Kevin Dancy and Casey Settle were both arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, and both have been released on bond.  In another incident, Wilkes Sheriff’s Deputies were called to assist with an Adult Probation Officer.  A male suspect was being transported when they found pills, needles, a flask of alcohol, and a Visa Check Card belonging to someone else in the man’s possession.  The suspect’s name was not released with the report; however, charges of possession and obtaining property by false pretense are pending.
