Wilkes Relay For Life

The Wilkes Relay for Life event scheduled earlier this summer at Wilkes Community College Watson stage was postponed due to some expected bad weather.  The new date for the local Relay for Life event is less than 2 weeks away.  3WC spoke with the co-chairs of the Wilkes Relay about the event.  Sherry Dancy reminded us what the Relay for Life event is all about:  AIR  Teams and individuals donate money through year-long fund-raisers that all come together at the Walk.  Wendy Porter says the money raised has many uses.  AIR  For more information, you can find Wilkes County Relay for Life on Facebook or call 927-7215 or 957-7680.  Again, this weekend’s Relay for Life event on the campus of Wilkes Community has been postponed until Friday, August 3
