Wilkesboro Speeders

Both were speeding.  One was caught and one was not.  While on patrol, a police officer clocked two different cars going way above the speed limit around 2:10 AM. When the Officer was able to stop one car and approach the driver, he noticed the smell alcohol on the person’s breath. Back up was called and the driver was asked to do three different sobriety tests, of which he failed all three. The driver was arrested and taken to the Wilkes County Jail. The other speeding driver was not caught.  The one arrested told Police that he did not know who the other driver was and said that they had not been racing.  That investigation is still underway.
