Who Is Stealing All the Pushmowers?

Not just one or two but at least three have been stolen recently in Wilkes.  Pushmowers are missing from 3 different residences.  All three theft reports were filed with the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Department.  In the first, a Millers Creek resident said that he returned home and found his push mower valued at 60 dollars missing from his house.  A neighbor reported a loud pickup was heard and seen in the area on the day of the theft.  Sheriff’s Officials are unsure if the driver of that pickup is a suspect in the case.  Then a couple of North Wilkesboro property owners also reported similar thefts.  A push mower valued at 200 dollars was stolen from a house on North Rhyne Road, and a 40-dollar mower was stolen from the driveway of a Boone Trail resident.  There is no word on the identity of the pushmower thief or thieves and the Wilkes Sheriff’s Department investigation is ongoing.
