Stolen From Car and House
Friday, July 27, 2012 at 10:55AM In other theft reports that the Wilkes Sheriff’s Department is investigating, one person had something stolen from a car and another person had things taken from a house. A property owner from the Haymeadow Road area reported the theft of a .22 caliber pistol from inside his vehicle. The victim does not know exactly where the larceny occurred. The gun was stolen from his truck either at the Run-In Store on Hwy 268 East or while the truck was parked in his driveway. Then a homeowner in Millers Creek told Wilkes Sheriff’s Officials that he had gone out of town for a few days. When he returned home, he saw that his TV was missing. Reportedly, the house was locked and there were no pry marks at the doors. There are no suspects in either theft and the investigations are ongoing.
