Forgot Where He Took His Car For Sale

Here is another of those “you know it’s going to be a bad day when” stories.  According to a report filed with the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Department last week, a man came to Wilkes to sell a car, but he forgot where he left the car.  It seems a Boone man was in contact with someone in Wilkes regarding the purchase of his 1995 Honda Civic.  The car owner drove down from Boone to a location in Wilkes and dropped off the car with the intentions of returning the next day for money from the person buying the car.  If that isn’t confusing enough, the man then forgot how to return to the location where he delivered the car, and the person who agreed to buy the car will not return the man’s calls.  Yes, you know it’s going to be a bad day when you have no car, no money, and no place to go…except the Sheriff’s Department to file a Automobile Theft Report.
