He Said...She Said...and Stolen Appliances

It is a “he said she said” dispute between tenant and landlord plus a mystery theft that the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Department is trying to solve.  A Traphill man this week filed a breaking and entering report with the Sheriff’s Department.  The man was renting but had recently been evicted.  When he returned to the rental property, he told Sheriff’s Officials that several things were missing including a stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, and dining set.  The landlord was accused in the theft but denied taking any of the reportedly stolen property.  No charges have been filed against anyone at this time as the Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate.
