Mission Project at Westwood Hills
Friday, August 17, 2012 at 10:03AM A mission project led by Brad Smith’s Construction team and Neil Hatfield's Uplands Reach Teen Camp resulted in a beautiful artwork display in the hallway of the Alzheimer’s Spark Unit of Westwood Hills Nursing Center. Over 30 people gathered Thursday evening to pray and to dedicate the display. A tearful Brad Smith said, "We are boldly sharing the gospel in a non-threatening manner." All artwork was done by volunteers who said, " We just want to uplift Jesus.” These inspirational paintings depict scenes through the Bible from Creation to the 2nd Coming. Also, the North Wilkesboro Presbyterian Church enhanced an outdoor space with beautiful paintings, a water fountain, and landscaping. The staff and families of the patients were very thankful for the indoor and outdoor mission projects which give honor to God and uplift Westwood’s Alzheimers patients.
