Let Me Buy Your Gas...With a Stolen Credit Card

She would have friends meet her at the gas station to buy their gas.  It is a really nice thing to do except that she was using a stolen credit card for the gas purchases.  An employee of Carolina Kia of High Point came by the Wilkesboro Police Department this week to file a report concerning a Wilkes County resident and a stolen credit card.  The employee explained that another employee had been dating a young woman from Wilkes.  The two had since ended their relationship, but it seems the young woman obtained a company credit card and kept it following the breakup.  Recently, the General Manager of Carolina Kia noticed some usual charges on one card.  He checked and found charges dating all the way back to January of this year.  Most of the charges were at the Wilco Hess Station on Hwy 421 in Wilkesboro.  Wilco Hess employees reported that the female suspect did in fact use the credit card to fill up her car and had friends to meet her at the store to pay for their gas with the card, too.  The total charged to the stolen card since January was 12,503.96.  Wilkesboro Police are conducting the investigation and charges against the Wilkes County woman are pending for obtaining money by false pretense.
