Home Break-Ins: Some Stolen and Some Not

Several things were taken in one home break-in, and nothing was taken in another.  The Wilkes County Sheriff’s was called to investigate a couple of home break-ins this week.  Homeowners on the Boiling Springs Road came home and noticed the bathroom was on and their back door was open.  Sheriff’s Deputies were called to secure the house and investigate the break-in.  The thief or thieves had already left the property and had taken several things with them.  Deputies determined that the garage door and the kitchen door were pried open.  Property stolen included several pieces of jewelry, prescription pills, and a money jar.  Then, Sheriff’s Deputies were also called to a Poplar Trail Drive home.  The victim returned home to find the front door of their house kicked open.  However, nothing was reported stolen from inside the house.  Damages to the door and door frame are estimated at 600 dollars.  There are suspects in both of these break-ins and charges are pending.
