Property Damages and One Arrest

The Wilkes Sheriff’s Department was called out a couple of times recently to investigate damage to property which resulted in one arrest.  First, a victim on Mulberry Creek Road called to report damages to their car.  Sometime during the overnight hours, someone broke out the back glass of a Toyota car.  The vehicle was parked in the victim’s driveway at the time.  No suspects were listed.  Then Uncle Kenny’s Gas and Grill called to report the vandalism and damage to an air compressor.  Sheriff’s Deputies did find the person responsible, and Casey Shumate of North Wilkesboro was arrested and charged with vandalism and damage to property.
