Purse Snatcher Still At Large

She had her pocketbook when she entered the store but after doing some shopping it was gone.  Wilkesboro Police were called this week to investigate a purse snatching which reportedly happened inside Walmart.  The victim told Police that she had placed her pocketbook in her shopping cart.  She had shopped for some time and placed items inside the shopping cart when she realized her pocketbook was missing.  Police pulled store surveillance video.  They saw the victim enter the store, place the pocketbook inside the shopping cart, and then walk throughout the store.  However, as the items were loaded into the cart, the purse was covered up and so police could not determine when it was removed.  Video surveillance did not reveal a suspect, but Police are continuing to investigate.  Some cash, jewelry, and personal papers were inside the stolen pocketbook.  The victim was from Wilkesboro.
