Mt Airy Fires Thought to Be Arson

Mt Airy Firefighters in neighboring Surry County are investigating four early Thursday morning fires.  Reportedly, the first fire was called in just after midnight Wednesday with 3 other fires occurring in the same area until 5am Thursday.  All the fires were along a business district of South Street in Mt. Airy.  The fires included 3 buildings and one vehicle.  One of the 3 buildings was totally destroyed by fire.  Again, all the early Thursday morning fires in Mt. Airy are being investigated and are believed to be arson.
