Suspicious Package at DSS

In this day and age you can’t be too careful; and as the old saying goes, it’s better to be safe than sorry.  Wilkesboro Police were called this week to investigate a suspicious package at the Department of Social Services.  When DSS workers arrived to work, they saw a plastic package containing a white powder on the floor of a hallway.  There was aluminum foil and a rubber band on one end of the clear package.  Police were called to come and safely remove it from the DSS Office.  Testing showed that the mysterious package was not dangerous and did not contain any illegal substance.
