Teenage Shoplifter

A North Wilkesboro teenager was cited for shoplifting this week at a local store.  Wilkesboro Police were called by Kohls regarding a 18-year-old female who was being detained at the store.  When Police arrived, the Loss Prevention Officer explained that the young woman had been seen by store employees concealing items from the store and acting suspiciously.  She then left the store and was confronted in the parking lot by store staff.  The teen admitted to taking merchandise from the store without paying for it.  It was determined that she had taken and concealed a total of 204 dollars in clothing.  The stolen items were recovered and returned to the store.  The 18-year-old was given a citation for shoplifting and released by Police.
