Really? Destroy the Door for Cigarettes?

Usually if someone goes to the trouble of kicking in the front door to a house, they steal more than just a carton of cigarettes.  It seems this thief really needed a smoke.  In a report filed with the Wilkes Sheriff’s Office, a Hays resident stated that they returned home to find their house had been broken into.  The front door of the house was kicked in causing over 200 dollars in damages.  The victim told Sheriff’s investigators that the only thing missing from the home was a 28 dollar carton of cigarettes.  Nothing else was reported stolen.  There is no word on suspects.
