Seasonally Adjusted Thefts
Monday, August 6, 2012 at 9:33AM We have noted at times with the many theft reports that the Sheriff’s Department and other local law enforcement investigate each year that some of the thefts are seasonal. For example, lawn and garden items are most often stolen in the warmer months. Cases in point include a call to the Wilkes Sheriff’s Office this week from a property owner on the Mertie Road in Millers Creek. The victim reported that his Yard Machine lawn mower and trailer were stolen from his residence. The stolen property is valued at 600 dollars. In another case, a Ronda resident called to report the theft of a weedeater. The Kyobi weedeater valued at 100 dollars was stolen from a Luffman Road residence. There are currently no suspects.
