1000 Dollars in Scratches

Wilkesboro Police are trying to determine who caused over a 1000 dollars in damages to a car.  According to the victim, the car was fine when he parked it at his apartment on Waldenpoint Drive.  When he went outside hours later, there were several deep scratches into the paint of his car.  Some of the scratches included obscene words.  There are no known witnesses to the property damage and were no surveillance cameras at the apartments.  Police do; however, have at least one suspect.  The suspect has been questioned but denies any knowledge of the crime.  Charges are pending further investigation.
