Home Invasion Investigation

The Wilkes Sheriff’s Office is investigating a home invasion that happened over the weekend.  A homeowner in Moravian Falls reported that someone entered their residence through the unlocked front door.  The victim heard noises coming from one of the bedrooms and went to investigate.  They found an unknown man stabbing the mattress with a sharp object.  The victim confronted the intruder and even hit him in the face.  The intruder than ran from the scene.  Damages are estimated at 150 dollars.  The Wilkes Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate.
