Another High Dollar Break-In and Theft
Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 9:43AM There have been several high dollar home break-ins within the past week. And as we reported yesterday, the Wilkes Sheriff’s Office has made arrests in at least 3 home break-ins that occurred since September 2. Also within the past week, the Sheriff’s Office was called to a Millers Creek residence regarding a high-dollar theft from their outbuilding. The victim told Deputies that someone entered their unlocked storage building and took several things. Stolen property included several guns: rifles, a shotgun, and pistols, bows and arrows, a chainsaw, weedeater, range finder, snowboard and boots, and other property totaling several thousand dollars. There was a security camera that was damaged apparently by the thief or thieves, so there is no word on suspects at this time.
