List of Thefts from Autos

The Wilkes Sheriff’s Office is also investigating a couple of thefts from vehicles.  In one report…just to prove no good deed goes unpunished…a victim stated that a person he had given a ride took 18 dollars out of his car.  The name of the person who bummed a ride and then stole money was not given with the report, but charges are pending.  Then a Roaring River resident went to buy a few things at Porter’s Grocery.  While they were inside the store, someone stole their prescription medication from their car.  And finally, a resident on the Congo Road reported that someone stole the license plate off their vehicle while it was parked at their home.  The Sheriff’s Department is continuing to investigate all of these thefts from vehicles.
