One Damaged and One Entered

One vehicle was damaged by a vandal, and another vehicle was entered by a thief.  The Wilkes Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a couple of vehicle related incidents.  A North Wilkesboro resident called recently to report damages to their Jeep.  The vehicle was parked at the victim’s residence at the time of the vandalism.  The Jeep was keyed, leaving deep scratches, and 3 of the 4 tires were flattened.  Damages are listed at 3500 dollars.  There is a suspect and charges of vandalism and damage to property are pending.  Then a Roaring River victim reported a theft from their vehicle.  The victim was inside their house asleep when someone entered their car during the afternoon hours and stole a pocketbook and bank cards.  The vehicle was left unlocked and was parked in the owner’s driveway at the time of the theft.  Again, there is a suspect and charges are pending further investigation by Sheriff’s Officials.
