DWI Charges

A Wilkesboro woman was arrested and charged with DWI after a Deputy observed her driving erratically.  The Wilkes Sheriff’s Deputy reported that he stopped a 1993 Suzuki SUV for driving left of center on Hwy 268 West.  The driver, Connie Simmons, was impaired and was arrested for DWI.  She was transported to the County Intake where a chemical test revealed her intoxication level at .26 which is over 3 times the legal limit.  Simmons was released to the custody of a family member.  A court date was set for December 12th.
