Historian and Author at WCC Tomorrow

The N.C. Historian of the Year, author Michael Hardy, will present a Civil War Round Table on Wednesday in Hayes Hall at Wilkes Community College. The focus of the lecture will be centered on the lives of soldiers from western North Carolina who fought in the War Between the States. Hardy will elaborate on the effects of the war and will be dressed in full Confederate uniform as he leads the discussion based on his research.  Michael Hardy is the author of 16 historic books concerning the civil war in North Carolina including his latest, “Civil War Charlotte: Last Capital of the Confederacy.”  For more information about this event, contact Julie Mullis at 336-838-6502.  Wilkes Community College, a member of the North Carolina Community College System, is a public, two-year, open-door institution serving the people of Wilkes and surrounding counties.  Again, the Civil War Round Table is tomorrow, Wednesday, September 26, from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. in Room 319 of Hayes Hall, Wilkes Community College.  The event is free and open to the public.
