Another Car Stolen in Wilkes
Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 9:45AM In the past couple of weeks, there have been several reports of stolen vehicles. Earlier 3WC News reported on a car that was stolen in Ronda then wrecked and abandoned in North Wilkesboro. Now a Wilkesboro resident has reported the theft of their car. As we have warned before, it is best to never leave your keys in the vehicle even if it is parked in your driveway. According to a Wilkes Sheriff’s Department report, a Town & Country Circle resident left their keys in their Toyota Corolla when they parked it in their driveway. The victim went to bed at 11pm. When they got up at 10am, they saw that the vehicle was gone. The stolen car, which had been entered in NCIC, is a Champagne colored Toyota Corolla valued at 2000 dollars. There are no suspects in this auto theft.
