Picky Thief

The home break-ins in Wilkes County just get curious-er and curious-er.  It looks like a thief at a Moravian Falls resident was really picky about what they chose to steal.  The homeowners returned home to find the basement door kicked open.  The Sheriff’s Department has received several similar reports in the past couple of weeks in which thieves entered houses by forcing open a basement door.  Once inside the house this time, the thief took several pieces of jewelry and a laptop.  However, the thief chose not to steal a TV, guns, or checkbook.  No suspects were listed with the report but the investigation by the Wilkes Sheriff’s Office is still underway.
