Car Chase and Shots Fired

It looks like a drug deal that went wrong in many ways.  Wilkesboro Police were called recently regarding a car chase with shots fired.  Police stopped the first car on Hwy 421.  The driver stated she was speeding to get away from the car that was firing shots at her.  Police asked for consent to search the vehicle.  A small amount of drug residue was found in the vehicle with a syringe.  The driver admitted it was hers but told Police it was a week old.  A passenger in the car had a 2 outstanding warrants for his arrest for forgery.  The female driver was cited for misdemeanor drug paraphernalia possession and released.  The passenger, Jonathan Jackson, was arrested on the two warrants and given a 5000 dollar bond.  There is no word at this time regarding charges being filed against the alleged shooter in the other car.  Wilkesboro Police are conducting the investigation.
