Thieves Seen Leaving House

The Wilkes Sheriff’s Office received a call concerning a home break-in in progress.  The Victim called the Communications Center and gave them a description of a suspect’s vehicle that they saw leave their house. The vehicle was described as a white Jeep Cherokee with two white males subjects driving on Old 60 towards Roaring River.  One Deputy went to the victims residence.  Another Deputy drove down Old 60 towards Roaring River and passed a vehicle matching the description, which was traveling at a high rate of speed.  The Deputy turned around and initiated a traffic stop of the Jeep.  At the home where the break-in took place, the Victim stated that she and her son arrived home and saw two white males coming out of the living room door.   That’s when she called 911.  When the Deputy arrived and entered the residence and noticed that the men had made entry though the kitchen window.  The only thing reported stolen was some money from the bedroom dresser.  She also stated when her son and her arrived the two guys were coming out of her living room door.   The two men, Jason Garrett of Wilkesboro and Justin Royal, were arrested and charged with Breaking, Entering, and Larceny.  Both were placed under a $5000.00 secured bond and taken to the Wilkes County Jail.
