Stealing from Around the House

Sometimes thieves are kind enough to NOT break-in your house; they just take what’s on the carport or enter an outbuilding.  The Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office was called recently to investigate a couple of thefts in which thieves carried away a list of stolen property.  A Wilkesboro resident reported that someone forcibly entered their outbuilding and stole several things including a window air conditioning unit, some collectible coins, a DVR, a battery, 2 gas cans, and some drinks.  Then a Roaring River resident called concerning a theft from their carport.  This time an air compressor valued at 350 dollars was taken.  There are possible suspects in these thefts and charges are pending.  And speaking of charges, the Wilkes Sheriff’s Department has already made four arrests this week for breaking and entering and larceny.
