Thief Came to Y and Left with a Bank Card

His keys were in a locker, so how did they get out in the parking lot?  Wilkesboro Police were called to the YMCA this week regarding a theft.  Some keys were found in the parking lot and turned in at the desk.  The YMCA staff found the owner of the keys who said he had left them in a locker, so they shouldn’t be in the parking lot.  The victim went to his car and saw that someone had taken his cash and his bank debit card from his wallet.  Before the victim could contact his bank to cancel the card, the thief had already used the card two times.  Once at Murphy’s for a 72 dollar transaction and once at Walmart for 104 dollars.  Wilkesboro Police obtained video surveillance and interviewed clerks from both stores.  The thief was identified and multiple charges are pending for larceny, breaking & entering, and obtaining property by false pretense.
