Was Someone In The House?

She heard someone in her living room but didn’t go to check.  This is the third time this week that local law enforcement have received a call concerning thieves coming in while the owner is at home.  This time, Wilkesboro Police were called to a Moravian Street home regarding the theft of a diamond ring.  The victim told Police that she placed the ring on the mantle in the living room.  While taking a shower, she thought she heard something in the house but didn’t think anything about it.  Later that day, she discovered the ring was missing.  She searched the house but could not find it.  Even though there was money and other items around, nothing else of value was taken from the house; only the ring was gone.  Local pawn shops are being contacted to see if anyone brought the stolen ring in.  According to the Police report, there are no leads as to a suspect at this time.  The diamond cluster ring was valued at 1000 dollars.
