Seen in the Act But Not Caught

They saw the thieves in the act, but the thieves ran off before Sheriff’s Deputies could be called.  In two different reports over the weekend, property owners saw someone stealing or trying to steal.  A resident in Boomer called the Sheriff’s Department following a theft from an outside freezer.  The victim stated that they saw 3 teenagers take alcohol and chicken from their outdoor freezer and then run off.  There was no description of the teens and the property owner has no idea who they are.  Also a property owner in Hays called to reported an attempted theft.  The victim returned home and saw 2 white males carrying his gas can away from his residence.  The property owner yelled at the two thieves who dropped the gas can and fled the area.  So, nothing was stolen or damaged as the homeowner stopped the theft in process.  Again, the identity of the thieves is unknown.  The Sheriff’s Office is investigating both reports.
